Minor hockey prides itself on the hard work and dedication of our coach volunteers. If you are considering coaching for the next hockey season, please fill in the application by clicking here.
Coaching Requirements
All coaches in KMHA must complete the following PRIOR to coaching in the 2026/2027 Season:
1.) Police Check- Vulnerable Sector KMHA Screening Policy
All Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Managers are in need of a police check EVERY 3 YEARS. Once you acquire your police check, please email the Registrar and attach letter. Here is the link for the letter to fill out and present at your local police station. Vulnerable Sector Screening Form
2.) Respect in Sport/The Shift Forward
Head and Assistant coaches must complete the courses designed to help create a safe and fun environment in Hockey. Prior to 2026 if you have completed "Respect in Sport" Coaches edition, you may use that until it expires (4 years.) Once it has expired or you are new to coaching, please complete the new program The Shift Forward- Coaches. This course costs $28.00
